An update on and from LeadboltSo, the last posting about Leadbolt's revenue dropping did get some attention from Leadbolt.
We got some word from them on the Basic4Android forum, and I received a communication from Frank Brenes, Director of Business Development at Leadbolt. Basically they are saying that things are going great at Leadbolt. And we should see some upwards movement in July. We will keep an eye and I'll report in on this.
So far July hasn't had an upward start at all for my Leadbolt account. If anything it looks like about to hit a record bottom for me!
Enough of that, when shit happens, we should always know of other ways we can work our way out. Thus the reasons I am looking at other avenues for revenue, like sales and other ad networks, and also the iOS and web releases of apps.
UnityI have decided to create a new blog where I will share my Unity progress. Hang on for it to be announced here.
Oh! And please don't laugh! I know I am no artist, but lets see where this goes shall we? Here are a couple of screenshots of my first game in progress. I think I will be releasing it very soon. Just no freaking ideas on the background!

This game is actually a re-make the my drop down platformer game. At first I thought I'd just stick with blocks dropping and such, but then I thought I might as well make it a little more polished with 3D models (which for my current game were generously donated by http://eatsheep.com/ , an awesome looking game).

There is still some stuff to be done with it, but I'd probably release it first and then add more features.
This game uses RevMob as the ad network. Will probably add more. The "probably" being that this game is most likely NOT gonna garner enough downloads to be worth my time investing in it much. But I am using this as a learning experience.
Building the hypeThe new blog that I am gonna start for my Unity development will be mainly for publicity reasons. I will be publishing progress news on development as well as hopefully promotional stuff for the games.
This is one aspect many of us overlook in the build-up of our games and apps release. Then when we release the game or app, we wonder why there aren't any downloads for it. It has happened to me countless amount of times. But hey, we all learn from our mistakes.
Will this new site make the games million dollar makers on launch? It won't, but it should help promoting the apps in the long run. This section is totally new to me, and it will be a major learning experience. Stick around, and join in, maybe we all can learn something from it.
